Beacon Café

On Tuesday I went to The Beacon Café at St Boniface Church in Hursley Road. The café meets every second Tuesday and they serve wonderful home made cakes with tea and coffee, it is very friendly and welcoming.

There is a craft table where you can make all sorts of things, knitting to go towards blankets for those less fortunate than us, and lots of other things. You can also get a massage at a small cost.

You pay what you feel is right for the tea, coffee and cake, you just put any donation into a cup, and there is a large car park by the side so that’s something you don’t have to worry about. They also have a good selection of secondhand books. You make a donation that you feel is appropriate.

Come along, it would be lovely to see you!

  1. Wendy, I also love Beacon Cafe. It’s such a welcoming place.

I love the craft table run by Jane. She is so talented and helpful, and is full of creativity!

I haven’t tried the free massage yet, but it seems very popular (who doesn’t need relaxation?). I must try it some day!

I hope there are more community cafes like this in Chandler’s Ford for people to meet and chat. Hope to see you soon again.
