Lou and I were invited out for coffee by one of the dog walkers who take Lou out during the weekend. They made us very welcome, with a roaring fire and a gorgeous Christmas tree decorated with decorations that were gathered over many years.
It was not colour-coordinated just decorated with the baubles that held a special place in their home. It was such a perfect tree. I thought it was false but in fact it was real. Lou enjoyed sniffing out the garden.
Yesterday I decided it was high time I bought a tree so I went and chose one not too small and not too big. It was only after I bought it I realised I couldn’t carry it into the house. I decided I would try and persuade a couple of flat mates to help out, and I’m pleased to say that I have a choice of young men who have come to my rescue.
I will pick up the tree tomorrow.
