What an amazing day for September. When my daughter was born on the 7th of this month, the weather was also wonderful, and if my memory serves me right, we had about a week of warm weather. Of course that was many years ago, but I can still remember the dress I managed to squeeze into.
Today is also my errant son’s birthday, Have to wonder what he’s doing. Guess not thinking of his mum and family. Perhaps that’s why I treated myself to a small bottle of bubbly. I know I say I don’t drink that much but tonight feels different. All those experts would say ‘she’s drinking for all the wrong reasons’, but who cares, not me today anyway.
I’m sat watching Mama Mia and no matter how many times I’ve seen the film I love it. Exciting, entertaining and you can sing along. It even makes me want to dance, but think I will forego the dubious honour of jumping up and down on the bed.
Family popped in for a cuppa. Trudy wanted to eat Luna.
Spent the morning at the charity shop. Lots of goodies. There seems to be a surplus of cushions, clocks, sandals and barometers.
Thought for today. Say hello to someone you don’t know. It will brighten their day to think that someone somewhere cares.
