Bittersweet day

I reported to the charity shop as usual this morning. Sad to see it so empty, but some consolation is that it will reopen 2nd December.

There were mince pies, chocolates, biscuits, so I indulged in a couple of biscuits with my tea this morning.

Quite a few visitors, mostly regulars who offered their support with a paint brush, and other things that  would needed to be done.

That is why I like volunteering there so much. It’s a family. We all need to feel part of something don’t we. We need to belong.

Jane and Lisa are so excited. It’s a brand new chapter for them both and I wish them and Chandlers Ford Happy Place the very best, and I hope it grows and grows, taking lots of money for the charity.
