Penultimate day

I have been trying to keep busy today. Shopping, packing Trudy’s “case” for her holiday. The more I do the less time I spend thinking about tomorrow.

As I’m writing this the alarm in the flats is going off. What a racket but if it’s anything like last time, one of the workman cut a lead or something.  I hope I don’t have to listen to it for long. It is  ear splitting although of course if there was a real fire we would be pleased to be woken up. In the meantime we are all ignoring it. Let’s trust there is no real fire in the building. Being on the ground floor does have its advantages.  I can just walk out to the garden.

Will be posting by blogs from my hospital bed tomorrow.
